Doctor of Philosophy in Energy Engineering
The PhD degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Busitema University is awarded after successful completion of a Research (and Development) project in a specific niche energy engineering area, lasting not less than three years of registration. The actual length of the project may vary depending on the rate of progress and time allocated to the work by the particular candidate. In general, however, this time should not exceed 6 years, as work done or assumptions made earlier in the research may easily be superseded by developments elsewhere in that time
- MSc degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering or an equivalent coursework and dissertation, MSc degree in a relevant area. Those with a purely research-based
- MSc or MEng, or MTech degree will be required to do and pass some MSc-taught courses offered by the University, as agreed with the supervisor and approved by the faculty research board.
Doctor of Philosophy in Energy Engineering is aimed at Engineers, Scientists and Technologists working in industry, as well as natural scientists who wish to expand their knowledge in the field of energy engineering. Practicing sector fellows and fresh graduates will be attracted to this program.
