Departmental Overview
The Department of Water Resources Engineering is dedicated to the training of skilled engineers capable of planning, developing, managing, and protecting water resources for sustainable socio-economic development. The department focuses on the scientific and engineering principles involved in water supply, irrigation, drainage, hydrology, hydraulic structures, flood control, and environmental water management. Through a combination of theoretical instruction, practical laboratory work, field training, and research, the department prepares graduates to address water-related challenges such as climate change, water scarcity, flooding, and environmental conservation at local, national, and regional levels.
