Departmental Overview
The Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Busitema University is dedicated to advancing excellence in computing, engineering, and information technology education. The department focuses on producing highly skilled graduates equipped with practical knowledge, technical competence, and innovative thinking to meet the growing demands of the digital and technological world.
The department offers quality academic programmes designed to integrate theory with hands-on practical training in areas such as software development, computer systems, networking, cybersecurity, computer forensics, embedded systems, and ICT infrastructure management. Through modern teaching approaches, research, and industry collaboration, students are prepared to design, develop, and manage reliable and secure computing solutions for both public and private sectors.
